Paul DeMiglio
Social Media Director
For more than five years, Paul DeMiglio has worked in a variety of communications capacities for non-profit and government stakeholders, generating favorable media coverage through effective message delivery in both traditonal and online media.
Paul most recently served as Senior Communications Manager for the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN), a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to service members and veterans impacted by "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) and advocates for greater LGBT equality throughout the armed forces. Over the past three years, Paul worked in conjunction with the Communications Director to elevate and sustain media attention around DADT repeal through proactive online campaigns and targeted press outreach in print, cable and TV news.
Prior to SLDN, Paul was Deputy Communications Director at the Ohio Senate Minority Caucus from 2007-2008 and was a copy editor on the universal desk of The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from 2005-2007.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Paul graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in 2005 and currently lives in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CAGLCC), the DC Gay Professionals, and was a member of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington (GMCW) from 2009-2011.
